We Need Your Help!

In the past three weeks, our little rescue has taken in a pair of Maltese (Logan and Leia) from a Wisconsin breeder release, a special needs senior from Chicago Animal Care & Control (Jacqueline), a special needs senior from an Alachua County, FL, animal shelter (McGee), a special needs senior from Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago (Vanessa) and three puppy mill girls (Bella, Maria and Lucia) from Michigan.  For a rescue with only 11 foster homes, that’s a pretty large intake!

We have been able to raise intake sponsorships (to cover vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm tests, etc.) for all but Bella, Maria and Lucia, so if you can help us raise their sponsorship money, please click here.

Two of our new special needs seniors, Jacqueline and McGee, have turned out to have conditions requiring major surgeries to remove their eyes (one eye each), and so our Vet Fund has taken a pretty substantial hit with these unexpected expenses.  So, of course, we’ve had to begin some pretty extensive fundraising efforts.  To see the opportunities we have for you to help, please visit our Fundraisers Page for ways you can donate by making purchases of clothing items or even just searching for things that interest you on the internet.  To donate toward the General CSTR fund or for specific needs, please visit our ChipIn Fundraisers page for more information.  And lastly, for more ways to donate as well as our mailing address, please visit our Donate page.

Thank you to all of you who continue to give of your time and money to help these dogs who need us so desperately.  We couldn’t do any of this without you.

Welcome!

Welcome to the new CSTR website!

First, I would like to give a very special thank you to Martin Lund of Lund Computer and Design for his hard work in putting this new site together for us.  Thank you, Martin!

As you all can see, this new website design has a lot of new features for us, so please bear with us as we continue to add content and tweak the different sections.  I also hope to add regular blog posts to keep visitors up to date on what’s happening with the CSTR foster dogs.

So, please.. take your time and look around!
