Refuge - Benji

Benji came to Polo’s Refuge in 2015 at the age of 13 years after being surrendered by his mentally ill owner. He came to us with cherry eye, untreated severe dry eye, teeth and skin in horrible condition and a large patch of hair missing from what is likely untreated flea allergies.

Benji’s dry eye is now controlled with daily medications. He’s a grumpy guy who doesn’t particularly care for human attention but has settled in with his new canine friends and seems to like his new life at Polo’s Refuge.

Benji’s monthly expenses, in addition to daily food and treats, are as follows -

Dry eye meds - $15
Heartworm/Flea preventative - $20
