Polo’s Refuge - Walter

Walter came to Polo’s Refuge in 2011 at the age of 11 after he and Penny were surrendered to Chicago Animal Care & Control. He is a quiet fellow who spends most of his time napping in the comfy beds of the retirement home, although he does have periodic bursts of energy occasionally see him galloping in slow lopes around the Polo’s Refuge yard.

Walter was diagnosed with a seizure disorder in 2012 and so takes daily medications to control his seizures. He also has chronic dry eye so requires daily medicated drops in them.

Walter’s monthly expenses are as follows -

Seizure medication - $22
Dry eye meds - $15
Heartworm/Flea preventative - $20
