Polo’s Refuge – Berta
Berta came to Polo’s Refuge in 2012 after spending 12 years in a Missouri puppy mill. Berta has embraced her life at Polo’s Refuge with gusto, discovering the delights of toys and especially squeaky toys!
Berta’s left eye had to be removed due to glaucoma shortly after she arrived at Polo’s Refuge, and unfortunately, her right eye developed glaucoma and was chemically enucleated in January 2015.
Berta’s monthly expenses, in addition to daily food and treats and now that her glaucoma has been treated, is as follows –
Heartworm/Flea preventative – $20
