It’s a Pink Flamingo Flocking Fundraiser!

flamingo yardHow this fundraiser works:

Flamingo Flocking involves deploying a flock of plastic pink flamingos in someone’s lawn.  During the month of September, a group of Crossroads Shih Tzu Rescue volunteers will put a large flock of plastic flamingos into a community member’s lawn in which these flamingos will roost for 24-72 hours.  An explanatory note will be attached to the “victim’s” front door explaining their home was chosen and paid for by a friend in support of Crossroads Shih Tzu Rescue.

How much does it cost?

Small Flock (12 Flamingos):   $15
Medium Flock (24 Flamingos):   $25
Large Flock (36 Flamingos):   $35
SuperSize Flock (50 Flamingos):   $50

How do I flock someone’s lawn?

If you would like to have a friend’s lawn flocked, you must complete the online Flock A Friend Request Form, or, if you’d rather not use PayPal, print and mail this Flock a Friend Request Form to the CSTR address on the form. Payment will be required at the time the form is submitted.

How do I make sure my lawn isn’t flocked?

You can purchase an Anti-Flocking Insurance Policy which guarantees that your lawn will remain Flamingo Free throughout the fundraising event.  The policy is valid at the time of purchase and expires at the end of the fundraising event.  The cost of this policy is $20.00. Purchase an Anti-Flocking Insurance Policy here.

The Flamingo Promise:

All involved plan to be 100% respectful to the homeowner’s property.  There will be responsible adults setting up and removing the plastic flamingos to protect the homeowner’s property.

Goal:

The goal of this fundraiser is to raise money for CSTR’s capital campaign to expand our senior dog retirement home program, Polo’s Refuge.
